Updating this thread - as of literally two seconds ago, this actually happened outside of games leading me to believe it's probably an audio buffer issue - would anyone know how to fix this on a Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen

I've encountered a really odd issue which I've been facing with only Overwatch 2 alone - every now and then I'll be playing the game with my friends on discord, and my entire desktop audio will cut out for around 3-5 seconds, come back fully in sync with my entire desktop and game...
Oh yeah it seems to be within warranty, but i've heard pretty <Mod Edit> stuff about AOC's warranty fulfilment so I might just use this as an opportunity to upgrade my monitor anyway and keep the other at 60Hz as a new 2nd Monitor.

Heya so I did what you said and set the monitor down from 140Hz to 60Hz and it seems to have worked after 2 8-hour breaks of it being off so thank you for finding the solution quickly for me :D

So I've been planning a CPU upgrade to replace my poorly coping Athlon x4 880k, and with the money I have my I've concluded my best option is a Ryzen 5 2600. I'm going to be pairing this with 16GB of 3200MHz memory.
