took awhile to reply but wanted to be sure over the weekend changed the fan from 'silent mode' to 'normal mode' but the problem still happened. but what i did was change the fan speed to manual so it ran faster on start up and over the weekend and multiple startup's didnt bring up the error...

so would taking it out of silent mode "fix" the issue?

yeh its in the CPU FAN header not the CPU OPT

recently got a new pc, but been having a CPU fan error on start up. the error disappears after a restart. ive been in contact with the retailer to fix it and tried all their fixes like making sure the cable is seated correctly and making sure its set to PWM in BIOS. they sent me a replacement...

i just checked out the specs of the GPU on the ASUS site and is says 'up to 150W1 additional 6 pin PCIe power required', but also checked out the Seasonic S12II-520 520W and says it has a six-pin video card power connecter, so im guessing it should be alright? this should put cost just over...

i think i will go for the GTX650 Ti considering it only £20 more than the GTX650. does the GTX650 TI need a power supply? + the PSU you recommended is a 700w? i have found a Seasonic S12II-520 520W ATX12V here...
