I changed both the port used and the cable and it somehow fixed itself. Thank you very much! I didn't that such a small thing would cause it but I guess you never know.
I would advise you to check the exact models of the ram you want on the MOBO's QVL to see if it will run at the designated speeds. However, I think that 3600mhz would be a viable option since your MOBO supports it!
Corsair and G-Skill are both very good options, so check the individual models...
