alright i tried ur 8x500 overclock and now my comp gives me a bsod during vista startup everytime, reset bios, still bsod.... Help!

yea im using corsair twin2x4096 ram and anythng above 800 has made it crash so far, ill try some of ur settings. maybe ill get it to a 1000 too haha

alright its stable with the mem at 800 it ran prime95 all night with the cpu at 3.6ghz, i really want to get the mem stable at 1066 again though, can anyone help me out with some settings for the p5q, or do i need a new mobo?

yea i know the pc8500 modules are essentially just pc6400 with higher voltages. i bumped it down to 800, running prime95 now to see if im stable...

i'll try that, but that would be a shame because the system should be fine running the ram at 1066mhz

hey all, ive been using an e8400 for a good year now, i just recently changed my mobo from an asus p5n-d to a p5q to up my ram to ddr2 1066mhz, and also because the system wouldnt be stable anymore no matter how i oced it, i figured the mobo might be fried... anyways now with the new p5q setup...
