After some more testing i've managed to reach 4.8 ghz with acceptable temps. However, what keeps confusing me is the uncore frequency. When I changed that to 4.5ghz the computer didn't even start. What would your suggestion be in proceeding with that setting?

I actually had no OC before that. I read a review of the processor that said that their 3 samples passed 4.9 with vcore 1.285. So I tried 4.8 and didn't even reach loading screen. I'm now going with 4.6 on a pre made profile in bios but I can't se the detailed settings. Some kind of easy OC.

Hi, I'm a beginner at overclocking. I wanted to try on my i5 7600k and Gigabyte z27OP-D3. I have changed frequency to 4.8ghz with vcore set to 1.285 and uncore set to 4.5ghz (whatever that is). I followed an oc guide from Gigabyte. Ram is at xmp. I changed nothing else like turbo, c-states etc...

My internet connection is 250/10 and I have an ssd. Can internet connection affect fps in games? Ok, thanks! But shouldn’t the cpu report a higher usage? In town I get typically 60-70% usage.

I have oc’d the gpu +150 core and +200 memory clock. The difference is in game is barely noticeable I would say.

24% is noticeable. As I said, I owned a desktop 1060 before this and the difference is still significant :/ I get comparable fire strike results for some reason I don’t I understand. I notice the difference when gaming.

Thanks! Yes but these instances are playing well on my computer as well. It is in the cities and bigger public events that are very heavy on my computer lowering the fps to about 40-50. Where a lot of other players are at the same time.

I have one of those. I have also undervolted the cpu. I will try the power plan but I think I might just have to accept how it is.
