Question How hot do power cables get? (Damage/Fire Hazard)

I'm trying to hide some cables (Ps4, chromecast, TV and power strip cable) and was thinking of using pipe insulation. Here's a pic: https://ibb.co/3RGMpJd I Bing'd it but didn't find much. Is my attempt a bad idea? If so, please call me stupid quickly since I don't wanna damage components...

[SOLVED] Does continuuous power from a usb port damage flash drives?

My front USB 3.0 ports permanently supply power to devices, even when the PC is shut off. I suppose this is a feature to charge phones, etc. I have flash drives in them almost all the time, and they still get quite hot if I plug them out when my PC has been shut down for a long time. Is this...

[SOLVED] Flash drives still get hot despite PC being shut down

OK, so I searched around for a bit, and there are a couple of options I could take to turn off the power of these front panel USB 3.0 ports. Turning off ErP in the BIOS, or turning off USB Selective Suspend in the Windows Control Panel. But the thing is, I searched around for a bit and found...

[SOLVED] Flash drives still get hot despite PC being shut down

Whenever my PC is shut down and has been for a long time, (but still plugged in ofc) and I remove my flash drives from the front port (USB 3.0), they still are hot, having drawn power. This doesn't happen with devices directly plugged in to the back of the motherboard. I know some external HDDs...

    i7 2600k overheating (Load at ~70 deg C.)

Nope, it's blowing out of the case, in accordance with the rest of the airflow (checked again today when I applied new thermal paste)

Thanks a lot for your answer, weberdarren, now I'm far less nervous about selling it. I just found the name of my cooler, it's a bit bigger than the one I posted, sorry, this is it...

    i7 2600k overheating (Load at ~70 deg C.)

It's an older model I know, but I figured I'd ask anyway. cpu: i7 2600k gpu: gtx 960 16 gigs of RAM 500 watt PSU, previously 350w win 8.1 I am not overclocking, the airflow in the case (Thermaltake CORE V21) is more than sufficient (one 140mm fan in the front and a noctua 120mm in the back). I...

Windows denies HDD access, how do I recover its data?

The same "X:\ is not accessible. Access is denied", it never changed. I booted into Ubuntu, moved the files off the drive and reformatted it now. If the software I use ran on Linux, I would've left Windows with its UAC and permissions years ago, hah.

Windows denies HDD access, how do I recover its data?

When I try to open my external HDD in Explorer I get the error message "X:\ is not accessible. Access is denied." I've been googling around and tried to change ownership, etc. on both Win 7 and 8.1but to no avail. The drive itself seems to work fine, most or all files show up if I scan it with...
