Review SanDisk Pro-G40 SSD Review: Rugged Thunderbolt on the Go

The names are becoming self-parodying: "Sandisk Professional Pro PRO..." At this point even an inscrutable alphanumeric jumble a la Mercedes (or AMD / Intel) might be preferable.

Review Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Mouse Review: the High CPU Cost of 8,000 Hz

Maybe instead of insane USB polling rates it's time to go back to PS/2 ports, with essentially zero latency. (Check out Wikipedia page...)

News ODROID-H2+ An x86 Board to Challenge Raspberry Pi?

I've considered such setups. I'm curious -- does the USB vs. PCIe interface introduce additional latency or jitter or other problems? (Other "issue" is that AFAIK none of the USB NICs use Intel chipset. ;))

News ODROID-H2+ An x86 Board to Challenge Raspberry Pi?

Heh. Your comment prompted me to check my notes to see if I'd personally encountered any trouble with Realtek NICs. The worst I found was that, years ago, I had to mess with patching in / compiling Linux drivers while the Intel drivers were already included in distro packages. I dimly suspect...

Intel Coffee Lake Vs. Ryzen: A Side-By-Side Comparison

You should include the NUMBER of PCIe lanes in your comparison. Ryzen 7: 24 (32 with some motherboards); i7-8700: 16. Also, Ryzen supports ECC RAM with better motherboards, while i7 does not.

Asus PB328Q 32-inch AMVA QHD Monitor Review

Out of *6* PB328Qs I tried, ALL had multiple dead pixels. I'm not alone -- see Amazon reviews. Strongly recommend choosing the BenQ BL3200PT over this Asus. (It uses the same VA panel.)

Green Machine: AMD Dual-Core Platform at 54W

Like Orville, I'm frustrated at my inability to find ANY of the low-TDP Athlons or Semprons in the U.S. It's been months since their announcement, and using froogle.google.com I still can't find any U.S. vendors I trust that say they have them in stock. It would be nice if this story would...
