[SOLVED] 1 Year Old Laptop Thermal Throttling

I have thought of that but considering I primarily use it on flat hard surfaces and if I cant be on one i try to keep it above the surface so that minimal dust gets in, I don't think i need to. Also the vents collect most of the dust and when I do check them they usually don't have much dust so...

[SOLVED] 1 Year Old Laptop Thermal Throttling

Hi, my relatively new laptop is thermal throttling. It is a Lenovo Legion Y545 and I recently started noticing fps drops in games so I started looking into my CPU temps. They were around 70C at around idle but when I launched anything demanding it would go to about 90 maximum and stabilized at...

    Question core i7 4790 + 1060 3gig +12 gigs ddr3 = good?

The system you have is pretty good but could have been better if you could have gone for ryzen and just got 8gbs of ddr4, and then later added another 8 gbs.

Question I feel like my 10 years old moniter has bad image quality

Also the gameplay is recorded at the resolution of the monitor and things like color accuracy will not get transferred on to the recording as it's not literally recording the screen.

Question Is it worth it to have a professional replace the thermal paste on my laptop with liquid metal , or should I do it myself ?

If you are experienced in the computers (meaning you put at least 1 or more together and know how most things work and know the dangers of liquid metal) then yes. Otherwise, it's a maybe, because there are a lot of things that can go wrong if you aren't careful,(such as static killing your...

Question ML240R vs Gammax L240, which has the better price to performance ratio?

I would say the ML240R would be a better choice as it has a quieter pump but it does have a tiny bit lower air pressure and airflow (but that shouldn't affect performance at all)and it has a 2-year warranty. Idk about the Gammaxx L240 warranty as it isn't listed in their specs. Also Cooler...

Question GPU cooling design (Which is better?)

Gigabyte will provide better cooling as it water cools everything instead of only the core being cooled. Also, the water cooling on the GPU VRMsl allow you to get higher clocks if you are planning to OC (even tho the RTX series cards are horrible at it)

[SOLVED] VRMs get really hot even with VRM heatsinks any other way of cooling them?

So my VRMs get really hot during gaming. I used a multimeter as my motherboard (Asus M5A78l-M Plus) doesn't have onboard VRM temperature sensors I launched Cinebench R15 Extreme and put my multimeter temperature diode, the highest temperature I reached was 90 celsius. Also keep in mind that I...
