I could buy a gtx 780 with a 3 year warranty for the same price as a new r9 380 in my country

As im looking into a new graphics card, I ended up choosing either the 380 or 280x. I cant decide because the both have their pros and cons. I am gaming on a 1080p res. and I can get the 380 for 250 euros and the 280x for 255 euros Thanks in advance

So... I am wondering if the r9 280x is better than the r9 380 I am looking for future proofness(Directx 12 etc.) I play games like gta 5 which use much vram so would I be better of buying the r9 380 or the 280x? Btw: I am gaming on a 1080p screen
