Crazy fan RPM readings with Noctua D-14. Advice needed pls.

When using a Y cable for two PWM fans, one leg of the splitter cable must have the RPM connection deactivated. You can only get feedback from one RMP cable on one fan only. Some Y cable don't do this.

    I need a good Z77 Mobo

I considered the asrock 4 extreme also, but when you actually have them in your hands, the Asrock board physically feels flimsy compard to the gigabyte board. The GB board is physically sturdier. Both board are in the top three for a Z77 board.

I have built 2 PC's using the Gigabyte Z77-UD5H mobo. No problems what so ever. I would recommend this board to anyone. Very easy to OC, also. Just for reference, i have the I-5 3570K CPU on these.

PC does nothing after disconnecting power cord for +1 min

Coin batteries come in different sizes, and possibly different voltages. Compare the number (they have numbers stamped on the battery) on the bad battery with the number on the old laptop battery. They should be the same. If not get a new one.

Need help for $800 gaming rig.

Do you have any other components you can reuse, a case? a dvd drive? an OS? a PSU? Although you want an SSD, do you have an existing HD you can reuse for storage? You can do it for $800, but anything you can reuse gives you a little more $$ to put into better components.
