Tried your solution and still no dice. I suspect a faulty card, as that "cable not connected" message would turn off if the monitor detects any video card even if the computer is off.

Yes, there is power going to the GPU, all necessary cables are installed. I just put my 470gtx back in, and the monitor detects that, the "cable not connected" message goes away, but no luck with the new card.

I've tried the different ports on the monitor and the card has only 1 HDMI port. Can't install the driver, as I can't boot the computer as the monitor won't even display the POST screen just that "cable is not connected" message. Gtx driver has been uninstalled.
