I needed a better graphics card than what I had, didn't need a powerhouse for movies, photos and other videos, maybe play some old game titles. As for why 2GB is because it was on ebay brand new for $25 at the time I got it.

I have a Dell Optiplex 990 (DT) with 250watt PSU, works fine. Graphics card does not have a 6pin power connector on top the card. Safe to run it on 250watt Dell PSU? Been running it this way for 24 hours now.
