BMW Inspired by Smartphones to Use Gorilla Glass in Hybrid

Had you read the entire article, or in fact, the first paragraph, you'd note that it's not on the windshield or any other window. It's a sound dampening firewall, essentially, for the rear engine.

AMD A10-6800K APU Overclocked to Over 8.0 GHz

"These days aren't here to stay. Hurry up and OC on! More transistors and shrinking architecture inherently creates massive amounts of heat. Maybe water cooling will be the standard cooler boxed with CPUs some day soon! " Wrong. Smaller transistors mean they use less power, which inherently...

Microsoft Facing Lawsuit Over Kinect Technology

Technology can't be stolen. If you posit an idea, that's a patent. If you build something, that's an invention. These really aught to be separated. Having an idea to have some toy recognize your face is great, but not building it? That's just fine. Microsoft built it.

Flash Likely to Get More Expensive; Samsung Builds 10nm Fab

CPU and memory tech are fundamentally different. That are few transistors involved in writing bits into flash, it's all just wires and storage media. CPUs and other processors have to do a whole bunch more, with significantly more things. I'm sure ol' Intel COULD produce 10nm parts, but I doubt...

Mozilla Ports Full FPS Engine to WebGL; Playable Demo

Works well, except for the auto search. If you have it enabled, it'll try to find whatever you type (such as w) on the page. It eventually crashes due to that.

Disney Researchers Turn Plants Into Multitouch Controllers

I wonder when this will be changed to work on people (or other animals). I mean, it works on plants, why not animals? Definitely entertaining.

Nvidia Promises Tegra 3 Smartphones Before End of March

Maybe it's time for the industry to get together for some new standards so users can upgrade their hardware like a desktop. Wouldn't that be nice?

Genius Intros Wireless Mouse Without a Battery

Add a normal rechargeable battery to it to charge the capacitor. Recharge the battery once per month. Why is this not done?
