My Family got a new router about 2 months ago and since then ping is about 400-700 in games, but sometimes on weekends is 30-50. The routers name is Technicolor TG582n and I'm using wired connection. How can I make sure that this is routers problem?

idk if you misread the title But I got core clock to 5000mhz by accident (broken hdd made pc freeze up and when it got back up it was at 5ghz) EDIT: Will check into bios when I get home though.

Title says it all pretty much. Accidently OC'ED to 5ghz and cant get back in, I uninstalled msi afterburner and deleted profiles but its still there?

^ Scratch that, only worked for first time, rebooted to see if everything would be ok just to find myself not being able to ctrl alt delete. I think this might be fucked up registry because I was using yesterday Adwcleaner to scan for viruses.

Nevermind that, Got this solved by killing Explorer.exe and starting it again. I hope this keeps ok from now on.
