im working on it. reset and reinstalled drivers and began freezing after the mobo drivers installed. so im going to update bios once i find a flash drive. darn more efficient means of storage for me loosing all of my flash drives.

first you have to make sure what ever you are purchasing looks like it can plug into you power supply. search eBay and amazon. if all else fails by a cheaper seasonic modular psu and use the cable and sell the leftover parts.

In a never ending pursuit of power in my desktop I decided a week ago to upgrade from my Kingston hyper x (120GB) to a Samsung 850 EVO (240GB). Every time I went to install a driver or program the computer froze, I even left the computer sit for hours without anything happening, still frozen...

if your case is hot enough to have a problem with superglue. you need a better case

i use a cooler master d92. i haven't played with that processor before so i don't know he exact number. if you are that worried maybe go with a prebuilt water cooling system.

make shore the psu has the proper connectors and enough power. they are mostly universial

the core duo is a good chip but pairing it with a 970. i would not be soo eager to do that.. btw if your upgrading the board this is the time to upgrade the processor

really you need supple power for an I5 and a 970 Asus makes some good boards with good sound however i use their higher end board so you will have to do some economical shopping

i would definitely modify the parts list for a haswell chip. im currently running the 4790K and love it

3-4 years old the motherboard may just have outlived its life. you could try calling asus in the morning they normally have pretty good customer support and long warrrenty on some of their parts

honestly i would save some money and just get a 970. is not that much better then the 970 , certainly not 200, which you could get 16gb more ram for that money or sli two 970(s) down the road and have way more power for not much more
