battlefield 1 has poor optimization for cpu's. Some people with the newest I7's struggle big time. Other people have no issues at all. Dice needs to fix this. I don't no about you all, but for me putting the settings on ultra or low does make zero diffrence. Just be patient hopefully they fix it...

Isn't it strange that only the ram speed is the difference to the game working? So it works with with 2x 8gb 2133mhz and it won't on 2x8 and 2x4 1600 mhz ram
