I'm considering deleting this thread because of how badly i portrayed the issue... SFC /scannow doesn't work, and I think that my bluescreens might be caused by that in particular. Should I reinstall Windows? I've tried a bunch of solutions to SFC not working but they didn't work.

This happened to my brother when there was an issue with his motherboard. If you have pins on the PC socket, make sure none of them are bent.

I can't open the mixer, but sound works on all ports. I think this is the hardware id: (PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0004&SUBSYS_10001102&REV_04)

I installed a version of KX, and sound comes out, but the mixer doesnt work properly, I get "Error Intilizing WindowsMM subsystem" or something like that. Sound comes out though. I'll give you the hardware ID.

I just flashed my bios, and I did reinstall the windows 10 chipset drivers. No luck.

Where do I go to find a beta driver for my sound card? When I go to creative and go to the audigy 2 page, the drivers don't detect the card when I am installing them.

You might have to see that repair guy if you're scared of cracking open this expensive laptop. I can't tell if this would be a hard drive issue or a graphics card issue. My guess is that the graphics card driver was the issue before, but then after a hiccup or something, somehow the hard drive...
