That's what I was thinking, I will be running the audio interface through USB and the only other bits I might add (undecided at the moment) is another 7770 in Crossfire so the second PCIe 3 might come in handy.

Hi all, am looking at getting a 7770, just wondering which would be the best card to get. Have been looking at the XFX DD edition, the Asus DirectCU or the MSI Twin Fan. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers!!

forgot to mention i was going to upgrade to 1080p in the next couple of months which is also why i was thinking of going for the 7850, but dont want to blow anything if i put it in this current system..

Was looking at a 7770 initially, but thought about a 7850 as they're not much more and to leave me with the option to put it in a new rig in the future. If it is going to be pushing it too much might just go for the 7770 as I don't want to be stuck with nothing! Cheers!!

yeah i think its around 50w more than the 7770, or just under. trying to figure out whether a 6850 will draw too much power or not.

do you think it will handle a 6850?

I guess I am wondering if I can push it any further. Because I have seen 6850s for not much more and from the info I could find I came to around the same amount for all components (excluding gpu) which makes me think it might handle a more powerful card. But don't want anything to fry. *Oh and...
