So I have two GTX 980's and a motherboard that doesn't support sli (dumb mistake i know). and when i have my two monitors plugged into one gpu each there is lag while playing games and playing a video at the same time. Is there some lost performance due to the two gpu's or what? my system...

I want to build a computer that will provide me with the biggest bang for my buck, i only want to go up to around $1000 to leave funds for the monitor ect. i'm leaving room for the 2way sli for future upgrades. worried about possible power supply issues down the road. this is my build...

i'd much rather get a really nice gpu and downgrade the rest. i thought it was better that is is i guess. any suggestions?

i realized later that the CPU is overkill, so switched that to the 8350. should i keep the water cooling? and what would you recommend for the graphics card, i'm thinking i might want to upgrade that. i plan on gaming with this build btw
