Gaming And Streaming: Which CPU Is Best For Both?

I like how this shows how great multi-threaded performance can be with multiple proceses running in the background. I know when I game, I may not stream but I usually have a browser open and a few sites I frequent have junky autoplay videos. My Ryzen 7 and I would think an i7-8 series, handles...

Legislator Makes First Moves To Regulate In-Game Purchases

I disagree that lootboxes are like gambling. In gambling you put your money in and run the chance of losing all of said money. With lootboxes, you put your money in and purchase an item (either ingame money, a loot box that grants a different item, a key, some kind of boost effect, etc.) The...

Nyko's Charge Block VR Fills A Void That Sony Should Never Have Left Open

For $14 more why not get something that will hold the headset that cost a few hundred dollars as well... https://www.amazon.com/Collective-Minds-Showcase-Rapid-Charge-Display/dp/B01LYGCK1M/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1490828706&sr=8-5&keywords=playstation+move+charger

High-End VR Just Got A Whole Lot Cheaper: Oculus Slashed The Price Of The Rift

If you bought it from anyone but Oculus, call the retailer and start processing either a return or get them to refund the $100. In box stores, the refund is standard practice. With Amazon, I have to return the unit and buy it again, per their policy. I had to call Amazon to get it sort out...

How To: Optimizing Your Graphics Card's Cooling

Would love to see an over the top heatsink cooling since the backplate worked so well. Something like taking a spare VGA or northbridge heat sink and adding it to the backplate or PCB.

Netflix Phishing Attack Steals Credit Card Data, Personal Info

Not ture. I just checked my last 20 or so emails from Netflix and all of them have links to Netflix in one form or other. I'm using a pc that has never logged into netflix so there isn't a cookie helping things either. Even worse, a few Credit Unions and Banks I've been a part of will also...

'Star Citizen' Devs Switch To Lumberyard Game Engine, Add 'Star Marine' First-Person Shooter Module

"...a new mode called “Pirate Swarm.” " When was this added? I've been playing what's being described for quiet some time... Did they add new features to swarm and gave it a new name?

Enermax' D.F. Vegas Fans Are Self-Cleaning, Lit Up Like Christmas Trees

I turn my PC off every night if I know I wont be using it until after work. Weekends it is on all day. I know it's hard to do but it would be nice to see a review of fans once a year or more.

I Never Want To Be Near A Nosulus Rift Again

I actually look forward to VR for my other senses, including smell. Would I want it for every game? Oh lord no. But walking through a VR rose field losses a lot depth when you can't smell them. Imagine smelling the ozone of a blaster battle, walking through a corridor and catching a whiff of...

Flying The USS Aegis In VR In 'Star Trek: Bridge Crew' (Hands On)

Are you really sure you were flying between Galaxies and not star systems? Star Trek lore is all contained in our current galaxy with only 1 instance I can recall of a species managing to make the trip between galaxies.

Microsoft Tests Claim Edge Browser Beats Competitors In Power Efficiency Tests

Would be nice to see an objective reviewing site compare web browser performance (including battery life with all of the other online benchmarks that like to be used.)

Bethesda Shows Off 'Doom' And 'Fallout 4' In VR, 'Fallout 4' VR Version In Development

I've played Fallout 4 in VR using VorpX (another VR injection driver but isn't free) on my Oculus. They have a lot of work ahead of them. The flat textures with "painted on" shadows become very apparent when viewed in stereoscopic 3D.

Judge Throws Out Evidence After FBI Refuses To Reveal Tor Vulnerability

They originally had a warrant to place the malware on the target computers so the use and gathering was legal. At this point, since the warrant is cancelled, if they continued to gather information then it is illegal search and seizure.
