Intel DP67BG not booting with EVGA 670

PCI-E is backwards compatible, so that isn't the issue. Have you tried getting the Nvidia drivers for the card? My second GTX 460 wouldn't be noticed on the board until I got the drivers.

also, if it is a motherboard issue, sometimes there is a button you can press (i.e. f3 for some boards I believe) that tells the machine you have updated the hardware. Check for that button in your baord manual.

    SLi Bridge for Physx?

Okay thanks guys! I didn't think I needed it, but I wasn't 100% sure. @Renz: Yes, I was gonna SLi two GTX 460s, but one broke so I am gonna run a GTX 660 as a main and a GTX 460 for Physx.

Nvidia Display driver 310.70 installation failed?

This happens to me a lot when I update my Nvidia drivers. The key for me is to download the drivers, reboot the machine, and then install them. It works for me, and I bet it will work for you too considering you are having the same problem where everything installs except for the video driver...

Intel DP67BG not booting with EVGA 670

Take the GTX 670 out, put the hd5870 back in, download the Nvidia Drivers, put the GTX 670 back in, then remove all AMD video drivers. Should work then. Hope this helps! :)

    SLi Bridge for Physx?

Hey guys, so I was gonna run SLi but one of my GTX 460s is broken, so I am returning that and getting a GTX 660. I was planning on running the GTX 660 as a main GPU while the GTX 460 runs all of my Physx. I don't think that I need a SLi bridge to do that, but would I need it to have the cards...

GTX 460 1gb SLi overheating like crazy

@Mouse I don't have a side fan because I only have one 800 RPM fan, but not extra molex connectors. @NoSupport Yeah, that's what I was suspecting... I think I will RMA because I don't want to void any warranties. Thanks for the help and if anyone has any other suggestions that'd be awesome!

GTX 460 1gb SLi overheating like crazy

It's a new card. And there is a whole slot between the card not being used.

GTX 460 1gb SLi overheating like crazy

Loaded up BF3. Before I even spawned the EVGA 460 was running @ 98C. I promptly stopped it there because that's too hot.

GTX 460 1gb SLi overheating like crazy

I'll get back to you with that in a second. Also, the idle temp of the EVGA card was 70C. I switched the slots and now it's 45-50C. Maybe that made all the difference. But i'll play BF3 and then give you some results. Thanks for the quick response by the way!

GTX 460 1gb SLi overheating like crazy

I just got an EVGA GTX 460 1gb SuperClocked to pair with my ASUS ENGTX 460 1gb. I had some trouble enabling SLi because my machine didn't recognize my EVGA card a Nvidia card and I had to re-install drivers for that. Once I did that, I went in and enabled SLi and it worked just fine. I played...
