It's a pretty common Windows problem. It can happen to anybody. I don't remember what is the problem with this exactly and how to fix it, but Google around and you will find a plethora of posts on how to permanently fix it in a simple way. There's not much to it.

No worries; I'm glad that everything turned out fine and you got a replacement blazing fast. You can strain it as much as you want as long as you have good cooling on your GPU. A rule of thumb is to try keep it at MAXIMUM 75 degrees. Enjoy your new machine ;).

That "high usage" is relative. Your CPU is currently clocked at ~0.75 Ghz, which is ~4.66x lower than its normal clock. A 100% usage at 0.74 GHz is actually a 20% usage at 3.5 GHz, which isn't so alarming to be honest. So you're right about the issue actually being your underclock. Possible...

Any 1080 will beat any 1070 spec-wise enough to justify a ~200$ price difference.

Ok; so how did it go? Also, did you do any temp tests and benchmarks? Did you check to see if anything is working @ 100% while you're gaming (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc)? Did you connect everything correctly and did you plug in your card in the same PCI-E slot?

I don't understand what you're saying. Go to the link where I posted a screenshot and post a screenshot with your afterburner and your task manager with the highest CPU usage tasks (you can order the table based on CPU usage if you click on the CPU column); this should shed some light on things.

I have 4% cpu usage and I have ~ 20 Chrome tabs open, Skype, and Steam. Check the processes in task manager, find the culprit and then Google around on how to remove it.
