    Yeah, he's using a mobile hotspot out in the middle of nowhere, so not much he can do about that, but I figured it out.

    So I have a friend that I'm hoping to host an SMP with, I have hardware in my house that I'm using to host a server, is there any way to get him, with a 600 Kbps up and down connection, to connect to my server without turning the game render distance down? I'm open to most anything.

    As you might be able to tell from the title, my internet speed is capped at 30 Mbps down and 10 up. The 10 up in normal, but I'm supposed to be getting 100 Mbps down. I can usually get 100 down while downloading something on steam, but no other time. I run my internet speed test with this...

    So, I have 7 devices(4 computers) connected to my network. I have one that's file sharing, but none of the computers on the network can see any of the others, including themselves. I was wondering what is happening and how I fix it.

    so I'm using ics now, and when I activate it on the computer that is supposed to share it, it says "unidentified network, shared" but the other pc, the one on the receiving end says "network 3"

    am I not supposed to use the ip adress I got from ipconfig in the setup of my bridge? I tried that, and once I set it up, it identified both of my networks, the shared one and my wifi adapter, as unidentified networks.
