Yea, I did a memtest run and a prime95 run. everything checks out. so either server or software seems to be the issue. Ill pick that as the answer anyway mate, thanks for the help ;). pretty happy its not the hardware, as this is the first PC i've ever built I was a bit overly concerned it...

Well, Ive monitored the ram now as well. just been in the test range a bit. no abnormalities. my framerates where absolutely stable, only dropping to about 55 minimum with alot of particles on screen. BF in game test says everything is fine as well. starting to think my system isnt the issue at...
