Question Is it safe to update the BIOS on an ASRock motherboard with an Intel CPU ?

I have a relatively decent system, and I've heard of the Intel faults going on lately, so I decided to look into updating my BIOS. I've never familiarized myself with the process of doing so and I want to know: Is it safe to update my BIOS straight from 9.01 to 17.02? Or should I upgrade from...

Question GPU Disconnects from display when drivers installed, system still runs. What's going on?

I tested it with another PSU in my older build, and it seemed to work just fine. Should I put the 600 watt PSU into my new system and see if that's the issue?

Hello, I apologize in advance, as this is going to be a long read for those of you who are interested in assisting me. About a month ago at the time of typing this, I built a new computer, following a YouTuber, Crater, 's recent "$1800 Build Guide", but I've run into some issues. Specs: AsRock...

Question Monitor displays in BIOS, not in Windows, GPU related?

Not when I use integrated graphics, no. Only when I have the VGA priority set to PCIE_1 in BIOS and my display cable/HDMI cable plugged into the GPU.

Question Monitor displays in BIOS, not in Windows, GPU related?

It’s possible, however, I copied the build from a YouTuber (Crater’s $1800 4070 TI Build), and using the same parts, his system seemed to work fine. My PSU came out in 2022, but I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, I didn’t re-use any parts for this build. No question is too silly, though, I...

Question Monitor displays in BIOS, not in Windows, GPU related?

i could, but i really wanna see if it’s truly a hardware issue first. it could be a faulty driver, a faulty windows update, or some incompatibility between the card and my motherboard that i’m unaware of. i’m gonna test it in a different rig tomorrow to further troubleshoot.

Question Monitor displays in BIOS, not in Windows, GPU related?

*UPDATE* I returned the 4070 TI, requesting a replacement. It just came in today, and it’s presenting the same issues. I tried an older RTX 2060 on my system, and everything worked just fine. Even the 4070 TI works just fine, until graphics drivers are installed. The moment they’re installed...

Question Monitor displays in BIOS, not in Windows, GPU related?

i ran it in safe mode, restarted normally, and downloaded the latest nvidia drivers from geforce experience, and after installing them and going to restart, i got a BSOD saying “video tdr failure”, and then the issue persisted. theres no way this new 4070 ti is already cooked, right? also, it...
