Man this is taking longer than it should have

What do you mean by the first sentence, and what would be my graphics driver.

I connected it to the graphics cards which is a GTX 1080 and I still got no signal.

How can I install windows when I am getting no signal do I have to do something with the computer? And I will try to connect it to the graphics card and see what happens.

I have a separate laptop laying around that I connected to the TV with an HDMI cable and it worked

I am connecting it through a DVI-D to Hdmi Cable on my motherboard I have windows 10, but I have only just put it in the optical drive.

So I have a Samsung UN32J5500AFXZA and I currently don't have a monitor so I am trying to connect my PC to this TV can this work or will I have to get a monitor?
