Question Liquid Cooling or Fan cooling for my setup?

I ended up going with a BeQuiet! Pure Rock 2 FX fan cooler and everything is running smooth (and extremely quiet) again. I can put my hand inside the case and feel the cool air running around. My CPU requires 95 TDP and this one does 150. For a $50 DIY installation, I am quite happy. Did you...

Question Liquid Cooling or Fan cooling for my setup?

I’d like to keep it around the $100 mark if possible.

Question Liquid Cooling or Fan cooling for my setup?

Hello, I am really not a hardware guy but my PC is 8 yrs old and runs an AIO on an Intel i9 9900K CPU with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti - 11GB GDDR6 GPU. Sadly, the pump died and the computer guy I use recommended I switch to air cooling…? Now, I don’t overclock my system but I do try to play...

Question GPU fan RPM ramps up to almost 6K, no spike in temp.

I did try DDU as per your suggestion, in safe mode even. I thought it was fixed for a while but it only made it less frequent. Turning off Nvidia game optimizations made it even less frequent (every 5 mins or so). Just to test, I dropped my Ultra settings down to High settings for ESO and it...

Question GPU fan RPM ramps up to almost 6K, no spike in temp.

My new PC is only three months old, never had an issue until a few days ago. I have CPUz and GPUz and HWM installed. No spike in temp for either CPU or GPU but consistently every minute while playing ESO, the fan will ramp up. Have not tried with other games, been too busy.

Trouble adding a hard drive to HP Notebook

Actually, I found a YT video and it looks like my brother might have purchased the wrong adapter. LOL I told him to pick up this one instead. With it, we don't need to worry about the wires. Can anyone confirm that this one should work instead? We should just have to dismantle it first. Video...

Trouble adding a hard drive to HP Notebook

So my brother has an HP 14-an013nr notebook, and was told to buy a WD10JPLXSP -1TB -Sata drive to add to it, along with a 2.5" SSD to 3.5" SATA HDD adapter with caddy tray, We separated the adapter from the tray because it was way too big for the notebook, but when we opened up the notebook...

Looking for an optimum GPU for my outdated Rig

Just wanted to give an update. I got my 1050 TI installed and now I average 60fps with Vsync, 90 fps without, but again my system is a bit outdated so I don't want to OC it or anything. Which is buttery smooth enough for me! I did bottom out at 32 fps last night durring a chaotic dungeon raid...

Looking for an optimum GPU for my outdated Rig

Appreciate all the help. Decided on the MSI GTX 1050 Ti Aero 4GB GDDR5 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137091 Not to concerned with anything other than performance, my non-descript PC case has no need for RGB. Probably going to upgrad emy PC piece by piece through out...

Looking for an optimum GPU for my outdated Rig

Hello, I mostly use it for home and work, but am really into Elder Scrolls Online (manual install) and would ultimately like to play Subnautica with a decent frame rate too. I can easily live with 30 fps but I am lucky if I get that in ESO on a good day. The biggest problem is that my current...

Looking for an upgrade from 2010

Well, I want to save as much money as possible (obviously) but I don't have any set budget for it right now. I freelance so I have some projects coming up and even if I have to buy it piece by piece and wait to assemble it is fine, but upwards of about $400 - $500? Even then, I can potentially...

Looking for an upgrade from 2010

Hello, I need help determining and finding upgrade components. I don't know much about anything other than CPUs and GPUs, but even my knowledge on that is limited. So long story short I am planning on having my benchmark being able to smoothly run the game Subnautica. I currently run a.. -...
