Yes the cpu came out with the heatsink because of the thermal paste. Do you think anything in the socket couldve broken? Because to my eye the cpu looks fine, except for a little bit of thermal paste in some places it shouldnt be. Dont know if that paste could be the reason it wont boot

I did that, cleaned all thermal paste off cpu, heatsink (there was a smidge on the mobo cleaned that off too). Still wont boot monitor still says "signal not found"

The paste used was, cooler master high performance thermal compound kit, my processor was a phenom ii x4 2.4ghz and the socket on my mobo was an am3+
