    IDE1 On a Newish MoBo?

IDE was how you connected hard drives, CD-ROM drives, etc. before SATA came along and sped everything up. It's only awesome if you really needed it for compatibility with older hardware.

    Average/Cheap CPU For LGA775?

The only CPUs that board can use that are better than the Q6600 are the Q6700, QX6700 and QX6800. Not sure what you would pay for the Q6600 or for the others, but you can always get lucky with a good deal sometimes.

    Do Letters of drives matter?

Using A or B is not recommended as they're reserved by the OS for floppy drives and that's what it expects to see there. Any other letter is fine though, but don't be surprised if you get some "path not found" errors here and there.

Not sure if GPU will fit in case

No the 550 won't fit. It's a double-slot card and that case only allows for a single lot card. Low-profile at that. This will be your best option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125468 The most worrisome thing i'm seeing about that case though is not 1 single fan...

Max memory voltage supported by CPU?

SB-E can handle 1.65v no problem, as anything that uses DDR3 can. It has to because that is the top range of the JEDEC DDR3 voltage spec, however 1.65v is the maximum "recommended" voltage. You can run it above that at your own risk.

    Zotac 650TI vs ASUS 650TI

Zotac has been around for years and they do make great graphics cards. I've used them personally and have never had any issues. Zotac is definitely a recommended "buy it!" :)

    Power Supply Wattage Help

80% on deciding how large of a power supply you need depends solely on which graphics cards you're getting. I could just say get 1000W to blanket any possible GPUs you might crossfire, but it could be less than that if we knew what you're looking to get.

will the GA-78LMT-S2P- motherboard work with the Asus Radeon R9 270X

Yes it will. It will handle any graphics card you want to stick in there. As long as you know your power supply is strong enough to power the graphics card, you'll have no problems.

AMD FX 6300 and Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P

Absolutely. The FX 6300 was supported since the very first BIOS release for that motherboard. You won't have to update anything.

Corsair Link and CrystalDisk showing different temps

Trust Crystal Disk. There's not even a realistic way your SSD could be 74C unless you were using it as a heatsink for your CPU lol

    Steelseries sensi VS Corsair M40

The SteelSeries is far better. Almost 3x the DPI, an additional button, can handle 2.5x more inches per second, 12x the sampling rate, etc. etc. As far as how it feels in your hand, that is a matter of personal opinion and no way to know which you might prefer without trying them.

Need advice building amd gaming computer for under $400

Since you're building this to play games with, the main thing you may want to check is if the games you like are even compatible with Windows XP. Another note, using only 1 RAM module will cut your memory bandwidth in half. 2 are strongly recommended, even if you dropped down to 2GB apiece.

How to connect a molex fan to my motherboard?

You don't connect molex connections to your motherboard. They plug directly into a connection from your power supply.

can i upgrade my processor, ram and graphics card on my motherboard EP31-DS3L

You can upgrade the graphics card, that will work. You can upgrade the RAM to 4GB of DDR2, but not DDR3, and the best possible CPU is a Core 2 Extreme QX9770. The type of RAM and CPU you want are not compatible with the sockets or chipset of that motherboard. Basically, it's simply too old.
