I actually made this same exact upgrade about half a year ago. The difference is significant, but if you're low on money it's not worth it. In Rust on the 960 I got like 30-50fps on medium, with the 1060 I can max it out 60fps. If that difference is worth it to you, then go for it.

So I've been looking for an upgrade for my PC and settled on the i7-4790, however I was wondering if there is an i5 that gets the same marks for gaming, with a smaller price tag. I heard i7's pack more features than i5 but they aren't really helpful for gaming.
