We all win. Chips are better then ever and prices are competitive. I used Intel before they started ignoring malware vunerabilities and will use AMD as long as they are more competitive. My loyalty is to my PC, not a company.

AMD 5950 selling at $695 on Amazon. It was there last night for sale 1 per person. I was happily surprised. I would have purchased it but had purchased a 3900X 4 months ago.

It has to do with electron tunneling through the insulators when the conductive areas get too small. Different methods like Intels tri-gates have helped. I do not know what the secret sauce is for 7 and below but its all about making electrons behave.

Shouldn't talk about fanboys as competition keeps prices low and all benefit. AMD is doing great things with CPUs while Intel does vaporware. Nvidia rocks GPUs but AMD keeps them honest as far as prices. I am a reality fanboy.
