Are AMD M3 & M3+ compatible with each other??

Am attempting to run on a platform that uses java applets; publisher doesn't recommend Edge; they recommend Firefox. They suggest IE11 and I just wanted to give it a try. I can run it on Firefox (with some applet issues). Thanks for your insight.

I am trying to install IE11 while running Win 10; Apparently MS doesn't like this idea. Has anyone had experience with install and running IE11 in this environment??

Is a AM3 socket the same as/or compatible with an AM3+?? This is a general purpose (non-gaming) machine which is >3 yrs old so I am not real interested in spending a lot of $$ on it; just want to boost performance. I am guessing that the Athlon generation is newer than the Phenom and see new...

I have already added 120 GB Kingston SSD (boot drive) & an additional 4 MB of memory; does it make any sense performance/$ wise to upgrade the processor from AMD Athlon II 4 x 640 ????
