Review HP Omen 16 Review: The Adult's Gaming Laptop

To be fair I think 720p is the current standard of the industry I agree it is not ideal. I say the camera res. should at least match the display's capability and while we are at it anything less than 16GB of RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD should be banned as well. I have 7 tabs open in Edge, Visual...

Looking for programming laptop (sometimes gaming)

In my opinion based on the specifications the ASUS ROG Flow X16 would be acceptable as both a portable gaming machine and would make an acceptable laptop for software development and related tasks. As a software developer I look for the following characteristics: Intel H series or AMD H series...

[SOLVED] I need to repair or upgrade, I need opinions.

Any idea how much slower the 12000 series Intel CPU's perform with DDR4-3600 vs DDR5-5200 CAS 38? EDIT: I have a Microcenter nearby, I'm going to run out there tomorrow since the prices are similar but I can get a X570 motherboard instead of settling for the B550. So looks like I'll be...

[SOLVED] I need to repair or upgrade, I need opinions.

Thanks for the replies. On the i5-12xxx series how much of a performance hit is there if you use DDR4-3000 CAS16 2x8GB vs say DDR5-5200 CAS 38 2x16GB.

[SOLVED] I need to repair or upgrade, I need opinions.

So my AMD Ryzen 1600 14nm desktop computer needs a new Motherboard and CPU Cooler. I have no interest in getting a used motherboard so the most logical choice is a B450 ATX if I keep the 1600. I'm also limited to the 90mm CPU Coolers due to case width. I'm not sure what the best...

[SOLVED] Ryzen 7 and ryzen 9 same cpu usage ?

Perhaps the Video Card is not powerful enough and so the CPU's have not much to do.

[SOLVED] Will upgrading from a Ryzen R5-1600 to a R7-2700X invalidate my Win10 License?

No I built the computer from parts I purchased in 2017 while reusing some older parts like my NVidia GTX 950. Last time anyone in my immediate family bought a prebuilt desktop computer was in 2001? And that was some sort of Gateway gaming machine...

Question Corsair carbide 200r power button

Also double check that the PWR cable from your case is connected to the correct location on your motherboard, about 9 months ago I was working on my computer and accidentally disconnected that cable and it wasn't till the next morning that I realized what I had done. Just goes to prove even...

Question Corsair carbide 200r power button

How long ago did you buy the case? I have the 100r, I believe it has the same power button design. EDIT: The 200r like my 100r has a 2 year warranty. If it is in fact a dead switch and your case is less then 2 years old Corsair could offer to repair/replace it or send you a new front panel...

[SOLVED] Will upgrading from a Ryzen R5-1600 to a R7-2700X invalidate my Win10 License?

I am currently running Windows 10 and am considering a R7-2700X since the prices have dropped so much on the 2700X as of late. I just needed to know If I only update the CPU from a R5-1600 will it invalidate my Win10 OEM License. I would not be changing the motherboard or any other component...

[SOLVED] Will any of those SSD's fit and work with my motherboard?

Your English is fine. Those prices seem reasonable to me. Do look at the list Ralston18 suggested. The SSD's you linked to are not the best and will likely be slow compared to the ones on @Ralston18 's list.

[SOLVED] This isnt right is it

Sounds good. I have noticed that sometimes game developers exaggerate when they refer to minimum specs.

[SOLVED] Will any of those SSD's fit and work with my motherboard?

I run a 240GB NVMe PCIe gen 3 SSD and it has enough storage space for me as I have another 2 TB of total storage available on my legacy HDD's. Your motherboard has just 2, SATA 3 ports. You will want to use the SATA 3 ports for your SSD and reserve your other 5 ports for slower HDD's you may have.

[SOLVED] This isnt right is it

I'd say your laptop just barely meets the minimum system requirements for the 2019 version of Call of Duty. System Requirements

Question Thermal compound on CPU pin

At this point you can not fix the issue as the thermal paste is already in the socket. You might as well turn the computer on and see what happens.
