@WildCard999 if I upgraded to the i7 9700k in hopes of buying an RTX 2070 in a moderate amount of time after that would my system perform okay still using the 1070 or would it bottleneck bad?

Thanks for you thoughts and advice, might be worth it to wait for the new socket and then just build a new system.
