    I have a Hitachi Deskstar hard drive and it has the normal sata power/data ports, but next to them it has a male port with 2 pins in it. what are the 2 pins for?     Need help with new build not booting

    The power supply worked fine in my other (older dual xeons) PC so I assumed it was not the issue. I took out a new cheap PSU that I got recently and plugged it in and it fired right up. Go figure. Thanks for the help!
