[SOLVED] i think my pc might be attempting to overclock itself?? (solved)

Try to change the fan speed curve. So that it will go based on temperature. Try to use the software, instead of bios fan settings. And you say the temperatures read normal? cause it could also be faulty temperature reader.

[SOLVED] i think my pc might be attempting to overclock itself?? (solved)

https://www.argusmonitor.com/images/previewscreens/en/screen03.png Look at this picture. As you can see, there is fan control. And it's probably because your BIOS have set your fan speed to 100% all times. So you gotta change that.

MSI Afterburner is the graphics card. You gotta use the other program for the CPU fans/computer case fans.

[SOLVED] i think my pc might be attempting to overclock itself?? (solved)

Try to download like MSI afterburner, or: https://www.argusmonitor.com/en/index.php and switch your fan curve. It's most likely at like 100%, change the curve so that it's low % when the degrees are low. Hope it helps!

[SOLVED] Computer will not go into sleepmode or it will sleep but can't wake up properly

So this just happened out of nowhere, I am a fan of putting my computer into sleepmode if I know I will get back to it within 30 min or so (otherwhise I shut it down). Situation 1: What happens when I click SLEEP or when it goes into sleep after 20 min is: Turns off monitor, keyboard, mouse...

    Question Ghosting ?

Have you tried setting Gsync to run in windowed too? Cause some games run in window borderless. Try going into Nvidia controlpanel and setting it to fullscreen and windowed.

[SOLVED] Is it safe to use XMP?

Thx for helping me through this journey of my issues and questions. I seem to have it running relatively stable now, and it should be 2400Mhz instead of 1600 as Taskmanager says. So I think that's my problem fixed and solved.

[SOLVED] Is it safe to use XMP?

Okay, I guess the 24 GB ram was a bit overkill anyway lol. But looking at the motherboard. Does it matter if the ram is in socket 1 and 3, vs 2 and 4? I just read something about the fastest ram should be in 1 and 3, but can't find it anywhere in the manual. And my watercooler is in the way to...

[SOLVED] Is it safe to use XMP?

View: https://imgur.com/YLWkZAC I ran a memory benchmark. It says Memory Bus = 1200 MHz. And 1200*2 = 2400MHz. I don't know if that means it's running correctly or what? Cause Taskmanager says 1600MHz

[SOLVED] Is it safe to use XMP?

One of my sticks are rated 2133MHz the other 2400Mhz. But when I enable XMP with both brands in, BIOS settings say it runs at 2400Mhz. So I'm afraid that it only reads 1 of the ratings, and then gives too much voltage to the other ones and make them run at speeds that they aren't rated for. The...

[SOLVED] Is it safe to use XMP?

Even when the sticks are completely different brand, size and speed? Cause last time I enabled XMP with both types in, it ran smoothly and really good. But my whole windows 10 got corrupted and had to reinstall it, but it could have been a coincidence?
