[SOLVED] Is my overclocked 8700k powerful enough for 3080 Ti @ 1440p 144hz

Ok, thanks for the help. So it would still be a big upgrade for me? Would it be better to get a 6900 XT? There is a discounted price on newegg $950 for a 6900 XT vs $1200-1300 for the 3080 Ti.

Is there a chart that shows the impact for the different games? I am trying to find a side by side comparsion one system using a 3080 Ti with an 8700k and the other using the same card with a newer i7 or i9 processor. If I'll generally only lose a few FPS I suppose it would still be worth the...

Clock speed fluctuates on overclocked 7700k despite turning Speedstep off

Hello, I have a Gigabyte motherboard so I'm not sure if this will help you but try disabling CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E), C3 State Support, C6/C7 State Support, and C8 State Support. I have all of those settings disabled and my CPU clock speed never fluctuates.

    Gigabyte 1080Ti isn't even stable with 100% voltage & + 95 core

I can't change the fan speed at all. I set the fan speed to 100% using MSI Afterburner and they ramped up for about a second then stopped spinning.

    Gigabyte 1080Ti isn't even stable with 100% voltage & + 95 core

How are some people overclocking their gpu to 2GHz + I can't even get mine to +95 core clock without GTA V instantly freezing. I know every GPU is different but damn... Some cards function with the core set to +130 and +500 memory. +85 Core + 300 Memory isn't stable either. PC Specs...

8700k can't clock higher than 47 without delid?

Ok so I flipped one of the fans over so more air would blow on the VRMs and I'm using Prime95 2.66. Here are my temps after stress testing for about 30 minutes: What do you guys think?
