The printer can't be connected to router via USB but has an option to be connected trough wifi. Haven't tried it though.

Thanks for the response CountMike Sorry i forgot to mention. The HDD has indeed failed. I was actually booting to Parted Magic in my flash drive and it has an app for checking HDD health. I was thinking of buying new HDD but I want to know first if the problem is just caused by the bad HDD...

Thanks Fix_that_Glitch. I've just removed the hard drive from the laptop and it solved the slow booting problem. I haven't tried this earlier since I've already tested booting to a bootable flash drive and got the same slow boot time, so i thought it has nothing to do with the boot device...
