Hey, I know the Corsair RM750i is Tier 1, but I wanted to go for the slightly cheaper, less wattage RM650i. But thats not on the list. Should I assume, that since it is the same product line that it is Tier 1?
EDIT: looks like tier 1, see review...
Its hard to say, your graphics card need a min 500W PSU which you manage. But I reckon that this more of a CPU bottleneck, considering it a AMD CPU and doesn't score highly in benchmarking
The important part is that the PSU needs to support 2x 8-pin PCI-E, rather than the wattage. There have been many generations of the CX600, do you know which version you are getting?
I recently upgraded to new i7-6700k, on the ASUS Z170-A, and Nvidia GTX 670 graphics card.
I chose not to upgrade the PSU, so I am using an old Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU (2009). It's compatible with the old ATX 2.2 conventions, and therefore only supports a minimum of 0.5A on the 12V2 rail...
I have just setup my new i7-6700k rig, with an ASUS Z170-A motherboard. Started the OC process but little confused at the BIOS vs CPU-Z (Windows) reported voltages.
I set the motherboard to 1.25V, and OC to 4.6Ghz with the x46 multiplier. Stress testing was stable but looking at CPU-Z under...
Thanks everyone for the help, the PSU probably will work, but Ive just realised that the front panel i/o on the case is proprietary and therefore would not connect to the motherboard!!!!
I might just be better off with a new case.
Hi, Im looking to upgrade my ageing DELL XPS600 with a new motherboard. Well its not new, its my old i7 Bloomfield system that I wish to replace the even older XPS Pentium 4 system.
I have looked through all the system manuals and technical data and swapping the motherboard and necessary...
