I have just setup my new i7-6700k rig, with an ASUS Z170-A motherboard. Started the OC process but little confused at the BIOS vs CPU-Z (Windows) reported voltages.
I set the motherboard to 1.25V, and OC to 4.6Ghz with the x46 multiplier. Stress testing was stable but looking at CPU-Z under load, the voltage reported was actually 1.35V???
I imagine there's always a discrepancy but I though 1.25v was the i7-6700k default voltage??
So even at stock the CPU runs up to this level. Or is Windows simply overriding my settings???
