I'm sorry but i don't get what you mean by high gpu. I haven't heard anything about a blackscreen issue with the 1050 so if there is any problems you can post them here.

It should change on it's own. You have to have to have the display connector (VGA, HDMI, DVI-I) connected to the gpu...

Shutting your pc off from the start menu is the way to go. After it has shutdown (no noise is coming from the pc and no lights are on) you can switch the psu switch off. It's basically the same as unplugging it. Just don't take off the sidepanel without uplugging it properly.
