Is there any advantage of putting drivers on a ssd as appears to a mechanical drive

Can you recommend a cheap internal optical drive. It will only be used for installation of windows 8 and maybe the occasional game install. I woud like for it to be cheap as possible and most importantly be quiet. Thx alot
