I got the same motherboard and GPU as you (great deal huh?). I'm using the ASPIRE ATX-AS520W 520W PSU. No problems with it yet and it's pretty inexpensive.

The thing is you don't NEED dual core for gaming. You are playing games and not multitasking. Sounds like single core to me. Save some money and get a 3200+ or something. Games don't require that much CPU power and you said you don't use that math program much.

Both have the exact same technical specs, so it just depends on which one is cooler/better at OCing. If you're not going to OC, then it doesn't really matter.

I don't think the ACPI is correct. The last temp I see on SpeedFan is also labelled Temp1 and it's also always at 40C.

But that would all depend on what game you're playing as the physics of each game differ, correct? Also, even if the CPU couldn't keep up with the GPU, it would still be going pretty fast, so really it wouldn't matter that much. Like if you were playing HL2 and your GPU could pump out 200FPS...
