I would advise not using a CPU without a heatsink. It will overheat guaranteed. If you do not like the noise, you can always buy an aftermarket cooler. Arctic Freezers and Cooler master hypers are good choices.
Well the TDP on my current board does not support the TDP of the processor I have, and from reading through the internet this is a big issue and causes many problems.
EDIT: Also, on the CPU support for my current board the processor isn't even supported, but I can use the computer fine and...
I have no interest in overclocking whatsoever. So basically this will be a good board to get for my computer? I have all the things for windows and such ready, so the OS is not a problem. I am more worried about any possible incompatibilities.
Currently I have an ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 motherboard. Will and upgrade to an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 be a good choice? And how difficult is it to upgrade the motherboard with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit? My specs are as follows to help give better insight:
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 760 SC ACX
CPU: AMD FX 8350...
I asked if it will work at stock speeds because I have searched around and can only find people asking about overclocking the CPU on the motherboard, but nothing about it's performance at stock speeds on the motherboard.
Will and AMD FX 8350 with an asus m5a97 r2.0 work fine at stock speeds? I plan to game a lot and was wondering how this motherboard will fare with the CPU.
I am going to combine this processor with a GTX 970. Is this a good option considering I want to play BF4? Or what I should be asking, will this run the game decently? The games I will be playing are BF4,BF3, and the Assassin's Creed games.
Well within the next year or so I plan to get a new motherboard for an intel processor. Do you happen to have any recommendations for when I do so? I have heard the i5 is a good choice but I am unsure of which one.
