Currently I have an ASUS M5A78L-M LX3 motherboard. Will and upgrade to an ASUS M5A97 R2.0 be a good choice? And how difficult is it to upgrade the motherboard with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit? My specs are as follows to help give better insight:

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 760 SC ACX
CPU: AMD FX 8350
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX3
PSU: Corsair 750W
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
RAM: Crucial BallistX 16GB (2 x 8GB)

Solution
TDP limit hits when maximum heat is outputted which happens when you stress the system. Still I'll say that you should atleast get the 970 Ud3p from gigabyte.
Get gigabyte 970a ud3p or a 990FX motherboard the M5a97 is just ok overclocking although the EVO is pretty good. And you'll have to get a new OS or license key if you are going to change the motherboard as far as I know the license is just limited to that motherboard.

I have no interest in overclocking whatsoever. So basically this will be a good board to get for my computer? I have all the things for windows and such ready, so the OS is not a problem. I am more worried about any possible incompatibilities.

Well the TDP on my current board does not support the TDP of the processor I have, and from reading through the internet this is a big issue and causes many problems.

EDIT: Also, on the CPU support for my current board the processor isn't even supported, but I can use the computer fine and surprisingly game, but I believe this would be extremely dangerous.
