While repairing an iPod Touch 5th Generation, I got some fingerprints and skin oils on the red parts of the picture. What is a safe way to remove it without damaging any of the electronics?

While opening an iPod Touch 5th Generation, I broke a piece of the plastic frame that goes around the screen (see picture) and it is preventing me from putting it back together. Is there any way to fix this without ordering a whole new piece? If I do have to order a new one, where can I get it from?

I followed the instructions in this guide to fix my friend's iPod Touch home button. I was able to take it apart okay, but I am having issues attaching the new home button. It keeps falling off. What is the correct way to attach it?
