It seems to me that the 1950 XTX is really not much better than the 1900 XTX http://tomshardware.co.uk/2006/08/23/ati_radeon_x1950xtx_uk/page9.html So unless its the same price or less its not really worth it, of course its still a great card...

I felt I had to vote 7900 gtx as I just bought one :oops: but I am sure that any of these cards would be great, if you can afford it go with the 7950, that will definitely keep you goin till next year

Yeah if you intend to run at that kind of resolution upgrade now, don't forget that doubtless the first wave of DX10 graphics cards will quickly be superseded by newer ones, so the earlier ones will come down in price/you can buy an even better card by the time lots of stuff needs DX10 there...

Ahh thanks that makes a lot of sense... Unfortunately the RAM i was looking at was DDR2-533 not 1066 so i guess i will have to think about better than dirt cheap RAM :D

I think Quake wars will live up to its hype better... BF2142 is based on the BF2 engine, and as an avid BF2 player i can tell you the game won't be played anything like the way you see on the videos... running in a close group of 3 / getting in an apc with 6 other ppl = Quick explosive death...
