Personally id go for a more powerful 800W PSU.

How long has it been making a lot of noise for? Its definitely running at a hot temperature though... My computer used to make a racket and I found that it was the stock fans in the PC case which caused this.

Download whocrashed and run this, then post the dump file, should be able to pinpoint issue - likely a driver of some sort.

Yeah it was brought from Argos about 1 year and half ago, has windows 8.1 installed. Doesn't seem to be driver or virus related... even software at all I think its definite hardware.

There is no heat that comes from the laptop but is it possible this wouldnt be the case if lack of thermal paste? The laptop is in really good condition lack of dust etc. Any other solutions?

Obviously as time goes by your putting yourself at more risk to being vulnerable. I cant imagine for the first 6 months - 1 year that it will be much of a big issue. Just make sure you are fully patched up to the point where they stop releasing updates.

Actually, thinking about it... The people who are experiencing issues never had problems on the there old machine which was 32 bit office. Hmmmmm going to be a long winded one :(

Thanks for the advice guys, maybe I need to build a test machine with 64 bit office on as the macros are pretty intensive. The problem we have is apparently our CRM server doesnt integrate with office 64 bit to well. Something to tackle :) Thanks again.

Yeah patches and updates installed. It happens with a few spreadsheets, usually the ones with plenty of formulas and data though. We use the 32 bit Office software on Windows 7 64 bit.
