Question Wireless and Receiver Interference: How to Solve it?

Hello folks, I have a very annoying problem. I've bought a Microsoft 2000 Mouse+Keyboard combo, they are wireless and use a single transmitter. Since then, I've experience some stuttering with the mouse, but only recently I've become annoyed to the point of buying another one. I've decided to...

    Mouse suggestion for my needs?

I know I should search for a guide, there's probably one, but I think my issue does not fall under the common lines of "I need a new gaming mouse" or anything. I'm a writer and most of my day I spend reading and writing, the issue is, even though I bought a somewhat robust mouse+keyboard combo...

Modding to fit an H110 - my results

Hello guys, if you remember me, I started a topic before Christmas, if I'm not mistaken, asking for help for how to do to install the Corsair H110 I got on a deal on my mid tower, that didn't have any support. I'm talking about a Aerocool Strike X-One, one of the best budget cases you can get...

    Overclocking ASROCK 970 PRO 3 + FX8320 3.5GHz

People tend to get to 4.5 GHZ with this cooler, but the VRM in your mobo doesn't encourage me to say it will be definitely safe. Best bet to go one step at a time, as we said, and monitor the temperatures. I have mine on 4.5 (8320) with watercooler and it doesn't even break 50 degrees Celsius.

    Overclocking ASROCK 970 PRO 3 + FX8320 3.5GHz

Easy steps for overclocking with Overdrive: Go to Clock Voltage, and then increase the multiplier. Hit apply. Then you check temperatures, do stability test for a minute just to be sure, and then you go there and do it again. It will either get to a point where your PC will freeze and you have...

It's worth upgrading from an Athlon II x4 640 to an Athlon x4 860K?

I would say it is better, but that it would be worth to get a 8320, or the 6300 if you could afford. Take note, though, that those processors have different TDPs, which means, one needs more energy than the other, and even though you get an AM3+ motherboard you may not be able to upgrade later...

What does this mean?? Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs???

But, to be clear. It is a issue of this specific motherboard, not all motherboards. Just an example of what I went through when buying my PC is that I was looking for a board that would fit my FX 8320, which uses AM3+. Then I searched and the one with best VRM with a decent price in my country...

What does this mean?? Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs???

Apparently, according to ASUS' CPU support list, you'll have to upgrade the BIOS to support that. There are some manufacturers that ship their boards upgraded from factory - the ones that are made after an update is available - but I can not know if this is your case. If you can, perhaps you...

It's worth upgrading from an Athlon II x4 640 to an Athlon x4 860K?

I don't think it is worth it. If you are short on money there are some entry level CPUs that will be a major increase in performance and actually worth your money, like the 1150 Pentiums or the FX 4300 and 6300. I think you are bound to change motherboards, anyway, better than spend more money...

Which CPU&GPU pair is better for gaming?

I would say the second option, but I don't think the difference in price for the 8320 is worth overlooking, I think it is worth the difference. Something you should keep in mind is that you should save some money to get an entry or mid level cooling solution to these CPUs. They won't trouble you...

Can the waterblock be safely disconnected for easier installation?

I only have the two holes in the back, that are meant for custom water cooler systems, open loop, and I'll mount them outside because I don't have the room. If I can't disassemble and pass the tubes there, I'll have to carve open my case, or, leave it open, for, otherwise, I have no way of...
