I"m looking for 32GB of DDR3, 1866 or better. The G.skill Ares would fit but I'd have to move the fan a little. The CORSAIR Vengeance LP would fit without moving the second fan at all but it is $20 more and the CAS latency is slightly worse than G.skill. Are there any options I'm overlooking...

Noctua's fans come with anti vibration mounting pads and rubber grommets, they are a bit pricey however.

Are you sure it's the fans? I'm having a similar problem but it's my 3.5" HDDs that are causing the case to vibrate.

Since the side panel is removable it's possible you could simply buy the windowed side panel on ebay or something if you change your mind two years down the road. I have the windowless case, no regrets.

I have the define r5 and love the look and performance. If I had a complaint it's that the front air filter isn't a tight fit allowing air to circumvent the actual filter but I fixed that with some aftermarket sticky foam seal from Amazon. Keep in mind that with the fractal r5, unless you remove the front door, you aren't going to see any 5.25 bay accessories anyway. Also if you have a motherboard that supports it, you can set up your fan curves right in the UEFI and never actually have to touch the settings afterwords.

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with the Define R5 case, the HDDs mount on little sleds for easy removal but it seems that at a certain speed they cause the entire case to emit an annoying whine. I've made sure it's not the fans.
